My watercolor portraits are done with the natural horse in mind. I strive to capture the personality and spirit unique to a particular horse. I spend time taking many photographs when I am with your horse.
When it's not possible for me to photograph your horse, I will work from your photos. Prices are based on one horse. There are additional charges for adding tack, buildings, multiple horses or other animals or people.
Average completion time is 3 weeks from time of ordering. One third of cost due as a non-refundable down payment to begin work. Remainder due upon completion. Cost for copies of photos and/or negatives is $20.
Prints and notecards of your portrait can be made available. Each 9x12 print in a plastic sleeve costs $15; 4x5 notecard with envelope in plastic sleeve is $2.50. I reserve reproduction rights on all works.
